Treaties Committee to hold second public hearing into Manipulation of Sports treaty
TheJoint Standing Committee on Treatieswill hold a second public hearing today for its inquiry into theCouncil of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions(the Macolin Convention). The Macolin Convention is the only multilateral agreement focused on preventing match-fixing, corruption, and other manipulation in sport. It establishes a framework for countries to work together with sports organisations, betting operators, and competition organisers to detect, prevent and punish manipulation of sports competitions. Monash University set to host the 18th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology
The Centre for Medicine Use and Safety (CMUS) at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) has been successful in the bid to host the 2026 Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ACPE). This flagship Asian event of International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) will be held at Monash Parkville Campus from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
